* Totally behind the trend but I saw the first episode of Gossip Girl. Chuck Bass is so deliciously evil he makes emo Nate less annoying. Impressive! I like Serena the best so far.

* It always annoys me when I read fanfic that is trying to be mature or edgy and instead the relationships in it are completely nonsensical and the emotional world rings false. It shits me to realise I've spent 15 minutes of my life on something so crappy.

* I wrote Shige/Tegoshi. Badly. And TegoMass gay buddyfic and Ryo/Shige/Yamapi.

* I would do that lj meme but I can't actually remember some of the lj people I've met and like half of them aren't actually on my flist, anyway. Plus, I would have to answer half the questions with, 'I decline to answer that on the grounds that it may incriminate me'.

You know, the idea of LiLo and Sam Ronson together is supremely hot, so of course I write totally g-rated family friendly fic about them. Not that I'm procrastinating on other fic I'm meant to be writing or anything, oh no.

lalala not writing

* Have been making enquiries and looking at rooms to rent in fear of upcoming deadline, but actually I think I'd like to live alone. I remember living alone being nice (even if I think, ultimately, I'd prefer to live with an actual friend as opposed to completely alone or with some stranger(s) as I have been the last five months). I probably couldn't afford it, though. Also, haven't the first clue what sorts of paperwork/ID/fuss is required but I guess it might be an idea to contact a real estate agent and take a chance.

Argh, it's all too much. Being responsible for myself is too hard.

So now I have a cold! I keep coughing up huge wads of grossness which is somehow hilarious to me. I'm sure not taking time off work again. I did get to go early today because I finished a project early but I just went shopping (well, browsing) instead of going straight home and getting rest. Of course.

What else have I been doing? Beyond saying fare thee well to playing at CFUD, which was both harder and easier than I thought it would be. Now that I don't have to check the comms all the time or spend hours pretending to be a teenage girl in zombie prison camp on the internet I have so much time. Watch me fill it in with nothing good or productive.

I really should get a membership at the City Library already because I spend so much time there. I should also update my sites or finish my fic or, oh yeah, work on the novel.

I love how job ads for trainee travel agents want well travelled uni grads. Obviously not a career for people without money.

Typing up the comments people leave on forms for work means I have lost what little faith I had in the literacy of the Australian people.

• Pretty ballsy of Rudd, I gotta say, speaking up like that to one of our major trading partners. Also, kind of cool. Yahoo! Aus front page tells me that KD Lang thinks he's awesome, now.

• I am so terrible at keeping up with birthdays but belated happy birthday to musikologie, jedinic and, lastly, violetsquirrel for yesterday. Miki, now you can drink in Japan! I expect you to buy me booze in celebration of this. ;p

• The temp job I did earlier in the week was lovely. The women at the office were really nice and laid back and it reminded me how much I like being around older women. Plus, the work was easy. It was nice to sort of reset myself. Spending time on the internet seeing too many pictures of Morning Musume and Lily Cole can lead to one's ideas of how old one should look getting really fucked up.

• I see I once again missed Self Injury Awareness Day. That's oddly suitable as most of the people in my life are not aware that I used to self injure.

• Embedded videos annoy me more and more. They won't stay paused and they make everything take so long to load.

• I feel ever so out of touch with CFUD lately. I'm just completely irrelevant to the game, I guess. I don't like it but, eh, what can I do. I was burnt out and then I had no time and now I just don't remember how to play so it's not like I've been playing much for a really long time.

• I seem unable to write fanfic at all lately. Tried to write Uchi fic; failed. Tried to write Shige fic; failed. I guess writing real people over a long period is hard, though. Just when you think you've got them figured enough to write them they go and change.

* I have so much energy! Somehow, it's like working hard for 8 hour days woke up my body. I feel like I could stay awake for ages, like I could get so much done. It's fabulous.

* Internet troubles continue. It keeps doing the thing where it will stop being connected to the internet for however long, especially in the afternoons. Sometimes it will cut out multiple times in five minutes. Sometimes it just won't work at all for half an hour. For most of today it was going so slow it felt like it'd have to speed up to stop. This is supposed to be a broadband connection.

So, yeah, Telstra Big Pond suck and their customer service is almost nonexistant. I really wish we weren't locked into a contract or that Alex had actually looked harder at the broadband options before he went for Telstra, but, oh well.

This is just making it really hard to do CFUD stuff and I can hardly ever download anything. Ugh.

* I managed to keep my grocery shopping to just under $25 today! Go me! This may even mean I won't spend more than $50 on groceries this week. I'm trying this new thing where I'm actually cooking every night, even though I don't like my own cooking (microwave meals were better) because, really, I am practically bleeding money at the moment and at least if I eat leftovers every second night and things with actual meat I won't be as hungry all the time. I've been buying healthier food, too, because it seems to be on special a lot at the moment.

* Much in the way of dropping at campfuckudie the last two days. Sadness! But what must be must be. I can't claim I haven't contemplated dropping many times over the last half year or so, so I do understand.

Apps are really soon, too, and have I worked on my app at all? That's a no. I tried to write it in French, for some reason, even though my French is so limited and rusty that there's very little I could write in it. Sadly, that didn't actually make writing the app any harder.

Christmas day was nice. I ate a lot, got a bunch of presents (including a disposable camera) and went to bed early.
